Fergie finally breaks her silence on major Beatrice, Eugenie rumour

Sarah Ferguson has finally addressed a long-circulating rumour about her daughters amid growing uncertainty over her future as she prepares to leave Royal Lodge.
After months of speculation over where the 66-year-old Duchess might relocate, Fergie has now clarified what’s actually on the table—and what isn’t.
Rumours Surrounding Fergie’s Post–Royal Lodge Move
As the deadline to vacate Royal Lodge approaches, numerous theories have emerged about where she might go next. Possibilities have ranged from moving in with Princess Eugenie and her young family at their luxury villa in Portugal, to settling in a converted cattle shed on Princess Beatrice’s Cotswolds property.
Another suggestion was that she could temporarily relocate to Australia to stay with her older sister, Jane Ferguson Luedecke.
But a spokesperson for Sarah Ferguson has now shut down one of the strongest rumours, telling People that speculation about her moving into either daughter’s home is “not correct.”

The End of an Era at Royal Lodge
The clarification comes as Fergie and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, face the end of their decades-long residency at Royal Lodge. The pair received an official eviction notice from King Charles III in late October, tied directly to their long-standing association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite divorcing in 1996, the former couple has continued living together in the 31-room, heritage-listed mansion on the Great Windsor Park estate. They have occupied the property rent-free for more than two decades.
While Andrew is reportedly “haggling over every last detail” regarding his next home, sources say that Fergie has already narrowed down her preferred area.
Fergie’s Likely Next Home
According to an insider who spoke to People, Sarah Ferguson is now focusing her search locally:
She’s looking for a place in Windsor,” the source shared.
The same source also claimed that both Andrew and Fergie have been given until 31 January 2026 to move out—an extension from the previous assumption that they would need to be out by the end of this year.
Earlier this week, additional reports suggested that Fergie was still considering various possibilities. Her spokesman confirmed this:
“She is assessing a number of options currently, and no final decision has been made.”

Confusion Over the Eviction Timeline
Despite the new timeline circulating, the situation remains somewhat unclear. Although the current expectation is that they will leave in the first quarter of 2026, the Crown Estate told The Telegraph that Andrew and Fergie technically have until October next year to vacate the property.
Under Andrew’s lease agreement, he is entitled to at least 12 months’ grace after receiving his eviction notice on 30 October.
Another factor complicating the situation is money: Andrew stands to lose close to AUD $1 million in compensation for surrendering his “peppercorn lease” early. This loss is largely due to the extensive repairs required for the deteriorating property.
The increasingly run-down condition of Royal Lodge has caused friction between the Yorks and King Charles for years. One major turning point came in August 2024, when the King withdrew palace-funded security from the residence, leaving Andrew to cover the costs himself—a move widely interpreted as the beginning of their slow exit from the estate.
